Dosage and Effect of Chemotherapy in the Clumber Spaniel – A Retrospective Study

There is new veterinary research into Clumber Spaniels looking into chemotherapy dosage and outcomes of treatment. This is to see if the Clumber Spaniel reacts better to a smaller dose of Chemotherapy than their size/ weight would normally dictate. It is important information that, should a research paper be produced as the outcome, will help veterinary oncologists with chemotherapy doses for the Clumber Spaniel.

If you have a dog that is currently having chemotherapy or have had a dog that had chemotherapy in the past, please consider participating in this research. If you would like further information or to participate, please email RN4PETS@aol.com

To make the research viable, at least 12 participants are required. To be included in the research, your dog should have had a diagnosis through biopsy for any type of cancer. You will be asked which chemotherapy drugs were used, dosages and the outcome of treatment. You will be asked what stage of cancer your dog had at the time and and what signs made you visit your vet.

This research is being conducted by Dr. Pamela Lucas, DVM, MS, DACVIM and Dr. Lucy Barrett, DVM. Mary Benet-Davis, RN is recruiting participants for the research.
